The 11 inch Hogwild Worm, like the 14 inch Bayou Giant, is a large reaction strike worm bait. Unlike the Bayou Giant, the Hogwild Worm proportionally has more body and less tail. The ribbed body and shorter tail offer a unique action, mimicing an eel. A good swimming bait to fish in heavy structure, such as tree tops, woods and dense cover where the tail design helps to keep the bait from getting caught and tangled on the structure.

The Hogwild Worm is best rigged Texas style.
The Hogwild Worm is designed to be fished with a faster retrieve than the Bayou Giant.
Swimming the Hogwild Worm is very effective when fishing in the summer and in the fall where fish have moved down into deeper water. Fish this bait at the depth where fish can be found usually around heavy structure and right above the thermocline. You can see the thermocline with good electronics. A big fish suspended in the water at depth is more likely to strike aggressively at an 11 inch worm than at a 6 inch worm when it swims by.
