Our Pork Pin floats better than any other slendered bodied finesse worm on the market. The Pork Pin is a smaller version of the Super Pork Pin. The Pork Pin is an excellent finesse bait because of its buoyancy and slender body design, especially when fishing around structure where it falls through structure and grass very well. The Pork Pin swims through the water very well. Worms that have a colored tail offer additional attractant because the flash of color triggers both a hunger strike and a reaction strike in the fish. It has a more erratic swimming action than the Finesse Worm; a similar finesse worm bait.

My dad and I fished the V&M Pork Pin at Douglas Lake in Tennessee. Without a doubt it is the best drop shot bait ever made and I have caught 100s of bass on this great bait!

V&M worms are the most productive soft plastic I’ve fished with. This past July 17th, I was at Smith Mountain Lake, VA for a week and this is the first and only place I have found V&M worms. The local tackle shop talked me into trying them saying “they where the hottest thing on the lake;” so I purchase the 6” watermelon pin. The next morning I caught three fish right almost back to back, (the Pin worm rigged on a 1/8 oz. jig head) and my partner had not had a bite. He proceeded to change to a “Zoom” watermelon 6” finesse worm. By the end of the day I had caught 14 and my partner 5. (large & small mouth) Both of us had the exact same set up, the only difference was he was using “Zoom” and I used “V&M”.
After that morning we returned to the tackle shop and we both purchased a variety of V&M worms and used them for the remainder of the week. Since we can’t find them around our home town we purchase enough to last us a while. We have used V&M worms in Buies Creek Lake, NC; Highrock Lake, NC and local watersheds and they haven’t let us down yet.

I really like to fish Carolina style, many people can tell you that. Now, I have fished with everything V&M makes, but when I am not throwing a Texas rigged Bayou Giant, I will most likely be fishing with a Carolina rigged six inch Pork Pin using the Junebug, Junebug Red and any of the Watermelon colors. The Pork Pin works very well. I have guided customers on all day fishing trips where we have caught a 100 bass a day, and this has happened on several lakes. That’s how good I think the V&M baits are.

The Pork Pin and the Finesse Worm can be fished the same way.
It is an ideal dropshot bait, and it is great fished Carolina rigged.
An excellent bait for pitching around structure.
Fish the Pork Pin the same way as fishing a jerk bait when fishing Cypress lakes.
The effectiveness of the colored tailed worms depend on the clarity of the water. In clear water, choose a worm with a dark colored tail, such as the black blue glitter / blue tail. In muddy water, choose a worm with a brighter colored tail. Worms whose color is split in half replicate small snakes and these worms work very well because of this type of coloration.
