Angler: Ray Beadle Jr. and JP

Location: Morgan City, LA

Fish Weight (lb): Unknown

Bait Used: V&M - Lil Marsh Minnow

Story: We bought some of these baits a year ago in Hahnville at a Shell station. The owner said the baits lasted longer than most and had better action. JP and I found that the bait colors stayed in the box better than the others. We ran out of this bait after catching 9 reds. We put on the ole regular one and could not finish the limit! It was as if the fish decided not to bite again. They were not on a feed all day seemingly. But I assume the attractant in this bait made a difference. We used the "LSU Grub" as it has been nicknamed down here - the purple/chartreuse color with the chartreuse head on a spinner bait.

Product Description:

The 3 inch Lil Marsh Minnow is a shadow of its big brother, the Marsh Minnow, offering a slightly smaller profile. This bait has realistic features, including eyes, gills, scales and a special hinged paddle tail that causes a wiggling motion. The Lil Marsh Minnow is well known for catching those Big Specks and Reds as well as any other fish that can't resist this realistic minnow.
